STEP 1- Go To Police Station

Steps at the Police Station and Subsequent Actions to Obtain Your Police Clearance Certificate

Documents required at Police station: ID document or ID card and R85 to pay for fingerprints:
1. Request assistance from the fingerprint department at SAPS.
2. At the fingerprint department, you will be asked to provide a copy of your ID and R85 payment at the police station.
3. Complete the fingerprint application form available at the fingerprint department.
4. Pay the R85 fee when requested by the fingerprint department.
5. Your fingerprints will be collected.
6. The police will provide you with a copy of your ID, your fingerprint record on the SAPS91(a) form, and a receipt as proof of the R85 payment.

- A normal Copy of your ID document (both sides of the ID card) or a copy of your green ID book.
- The SAPS 91(a) form. Fingerprint Form (the form with your fingerprints taken at the police station)
